And… Snow!

First day of snowfall here in New Brunswick. All very exciting. Evan’s outside frollicking (last year he had fun in the snow but didn’t really realize what it was… what a difference a year makes!).
Temperature’s falling fast. Seems like winter is finally here (thankfully it’s only about 6 months long out here)!

Google Blahnalytics

I was quite excited when I woke up yesterday and found that Google Analytics had finally been launched. There had been rumours of Google taking the Urchin product they bought a year ago and making it vastly free for most customers - and now that rumour is a reality.
Problem is that Google continues to mess […]

Blog Marketing Countdown

Well, it’s finally here! A labour of love that’s been nearly a year in the making. It’s kind of crazy to realize that Blog Marketing will be out this week! It leaves the printers tomorrow, and will be being shipped to reviewers by the end of the week, and to bookstores early next week.
If you […]

Happy Birthday Alexander Wright

Alex, happy birthday to you.
It has been such a joy getting to know you over the last year. Even before you were born, we could tell that you were your own person while you were in mamma’s tummy. Now that you’re here with us, and now that you’ve been growing and learning and smiling […]

Remembering

IN FLANDERS FIELDS
In Flanders field the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with […]

TableTop Software

A friend of mine, Kenny Lyon, has opened his own software development company, TableTop Software.
He’s primarily a .NET developer (though he has experience in a variety of environments). He does windows apps, web-apps (standards compliant, he’s a freak that way) and so forth. I’ve worked with Kenny on a number of projects and he’s incredibly […]

On the Can at AdTech

I’m finally here at AdTech, hanging out with Aaron. Some interesting people here already. Some I immediately recognized, others only got a cursory nod as I was heading out the door… And then I realized who they were later and wished I could run back, spit on my hand and apologize. Hell, I’d flatulate (or […]

AdTech: Monday’s Bloggerific Dinner

Just a heads up that we’re doing a geeky, bloggy, businessy dinner the Monday of AdTech. I’ve confirmed that Virgil’s Barbecue (recommended by Stowe Boyd, who does love his meat) is available during the period for up to 14 people. I figure 7pm is probably good, as that gives some time after the Awards Ceremony. […]

Another Great Month With Chitika

Just a note that I had another great month with the new Chitika ad network. I pulled in nearly 700$ from Chitika. The per-click pay has dropped in recent months, but most search engine visitors still find them incredibly appealing.
If you haven’t given them a shot yet, it’s likely worth it even just for a […]

New WhizSpark Launches

I’ve been a reasonable acquaintance of Peter Caputa for a couple of years. Sometimes he’s a bit cheeky at what I’m up to, but I can take it. He’s a great guy, who runs a great company, and is always willing to shoot the breeze and talk business.
All good things in my books.
So I’m really […]
