Not many people know that over the last year or so I’ve been growing in my “mad time management skillz”. I recently did a portion of one of the courses I co-developed with Marc as a free seminar here in St. Stephen.

The audience for this was non-computer users here in the community I’m part of. It’s a Christian community, so there are some Christianese references (my apologies to people who are offended by that). It’s also fairly laid back, lots of inside jokes, etc, etc, etc.

The seminar is nearly an hour and a half, the audio is a touch loud, so turn it down.

Just thought this might help folk who struggle with this, as well as giving a peek into some projects to come in the time management space :)

    Excellent and timely. I am soo in need of figuring out a time management schma that i can work through, and this seems to be a great first step. My first Next Action is to read GTD and RFA.

    Jeremy,
    You captured a lot of the key elements regarding time management and very well I might add. A couple of crumbs for thought;
    First, it’s more than just time management. I prefer to call is personal system effectiveness. You manage data, people ( even if you are not a manager, like reducing interruptions) , resources and time.
    Second, there are a lot of gurus out there preaching this stuff ( Allen, Covey, Blanchard et al), and America is the biggest purchaser of self help programs per capita in the world…so why aren’t we all effective. Answer; For the same reason we have cobwebs on our home exercise equipment. Many of us need assessment of our exisiting environments, acknowledgment of our own behavior and most importantly, coaching.

    So if you are really serious in changing your behavior, find a coach that will make sure that you do your productivty push-ups.

    Wow, great job. I needed a GTD refresher & this did it for me. Very nice presentation.
