Next Friday, I’m going on my first vacation. Since leaving high school. I mean I’ve taken long weekend, had a honeymoon (here in Toronto), etc.

But I’ve never *gone* somewhere for vacation. So next Friday I’m heading to Scotland with one of my best mates and we’re going to walk / scooter across the country. I’ll be checking email daily, of course, but generally trying to find some quiet, find some solitude and really recharge my batteries for the crazy year or two ahead.

Really looking forward to it!

Of course, the irony is that with a vacation looming there are a million things that need done. So from now until my vacation I’m basically working 12 hour days, 7 days a week so that the company an function properly, nobody’s waiting on anything from me, everyone’s prepped and primed and hyped, etc.

It’ll be great to be back, too though. I’m sure I’ll be so absolutely fired up and rearing to go :-D
