We finally got around to announcing our latest acquisition: Level 9 Media (here’s the b5media blog post). Since February, we’ve actually been doing about one acquisition a month. We don’t announce all of them (like Healthbolt), but we love each of them.

Level9′s been awhile in the making, partly because it was so large (lots of traffic, lots of blogs, several new writers) and partly because we wanted to make sure we did it “right”. For readers, for bloggers, for advertisers and for our existing community of bloggers.

It’s been about a month since we finished the integration, and so far so good! We’ll actually be using some of the properties for some very cool new stuff in the fall.

All in all, I believe in the value of buying valuable networks (and blogs) for a fair price. And I’m incredibly pumped to have the Level9 crew joining our little community :-)

And, yeah, it pushes us to almost 250 blogs, which is more than a little crazy.
