Thanks Jason for the poke!

I’m back after three weeks on the road and I’m +2 pounds… ugh. I need to get focused and starting hitting the gym hard. [...] How are my other fatbloggers(tm) doing!?!

Yeah, not so hot. Like Jason I’ve basically been on the road for the last month or more. When I’m on the road, everything suffers. Sure, I try and make more good decisions than bad (work out once a week, move my meal decisions one “notch” more towards healthy than I otherwise would and eat protein bars)…

But, everything still suffers. It takes me 2-3 days to get back into the swing of things. Which is an uphill battle since my trips have been only about 2 days apart! As a result I also cancelled my personal training sessions during my travel since it wouldn’t be fair on me, my body or my trainer to be all over the place physically and emotionally.

When I went into The Stretch, I weighed 227.6 and was feeling on top of the world. This week I’ll start to get back into the swing of things. It’ll take me awhile (probably a week to get totally up to speed again). Still, I’m now 226.4! I’ve been largely fluctuating between 227-229 the whole time which, for me, is a very, very good thing. It means that even after I finish this 4-12 month period of pushing myself to get healthier and lose weight that I’ll still be able to maintain that weight!

The reality is that during this period I’ve made a tonne of bad decisions, and nowhere near enough good ones. So I’m looking forward to a fresh start. A line in the sand. All that fuzzy stuff.

Now, time to call my personal trainer so I can start booking in sessions again!
