Ensight – Jeremy Wright

Last week we floated the idea of having a BlogNetworkCamp at SXSW. We figured we’d be doing really well if a dozen people showed up. Not a big event, by any stretch, but hopefully a decent sharing of ideas. One of the key things we hadn’t done, though, was firm up a date, time and location (since we were only floating the idea, we floated a time).

The original time conflicted with the Web Awards, as well as bowling, so we moved it back a few hours. So far, the only folk who can’t make it to the new time are the 9rules guys, which is a shame. We didn’t feel we could move it to another day, though, as Sunday was the only day 2 other networks could make it. Hopefully the 9rules guys aren’t too busy to at least pop their heads in, but no worries if they are. SXSW is a major conference for their community, after all

So, per the Upcoming.org listing, we have a date/time/location settled (let us know if there’s a major issue with this though!):

5pm, Sunday the 11th, at Opal Divine’s Freehouse. We’ve made reservations for a dozen, and we’ll be providing food and drinks.

I’m still hopeful folks who’ve said they can’t make it will somehow be able to swing it (9rules, Syntagma, Instablogs), as it’s central to some of the discussions going on right now (like here, in the comments). It won’t be the same without them. Hell, maybe the Shiny Media and BlogNation guys’ll even show up and make it a real ho down (sp?)
