New Email Address
Aug 9th
Some folk won’t care, but this is actually a huge move for me. My email address is now jeremy@b5media.com. The jeremy@ensight.org email forwards to the b5 one, so I shouldn’t lose any email. This is really a symbolic change more than anything. It’s all about b5 becoming my main enterprise and where I invest myself.
Considering Ensight’s been my email address for 3 years now, it’s quite the change for me to make the b5 one my new email address.
Practically speaking, this does mean that some folk will need to add the address to their whitelists (the main reason I’m writing this, since some folk have already mentioned having to do this … and it’s not like I can email people telling them to whitelist the address, heh).
Also, as I’m now functioning on a new laptop, I’m getting more email going into my spam boxes that are actual email. I try and check them daily, but if I take a bit longer to respond, that’s why.
Grrr @ FireFox Zealots

Okay, I’m all for people advocating certain causes. I really am. Put your little “FireFox is IE7″ and “Get FireFox cause it rul3z0rs” banners around. But stopping me from getting to your content?
b5 Sponsors WordCamp
Aug 4th
Hah. I’d written a nice long post about how proud and excited I was that b5 was sponsoring WordCamp 2006. Then my post got lost. Not WP’s fault, just funnily ironic.
So, yeah, we’re sponsoring WordCamp. I don’t think we’re getting anything tangible out of it, and I’m pretty sure that assigning thousands of dollars to sponsoring conferences isn’t something we want to get into. Mainly because I’ve never been convinced of the return. In this case, we feel like we’ve already gotten a return (because WP, and the WP community has given so much to us) so it wasn’t an issue. We’re just tickled pink to be able to say thank you in this small way.
And maybe next year we’ll bring steaks or something ;-)
