This Week’s Theme Song

This week’s video theme snog is Numb/Encore by Jay-Z/Linkin Park. One of my Top 10 favorite songs. I still get shivers listening to it. Something about the confidence mixed with Numb just gets me right there.

Totally agree, two completely different songs that just meld together to give a spine tingling performance.

Yeah, hard to define. I love Linkin Park, and have total respect both for Jay-Z’s performances (even though they’re not always my cup of tea) and how he’s remained really, really human in spite of his success.

Indeed, very nice songs. Linkin Park is one of my favourite band.

It’s all about the Michael Jordan 45 line, that’s where Jay Z just takes off.

i don’y think i have ever heard anything so factory produced that follows such a boring and used rap rock template.

it didn’t work for the goats back in the day and it sho as shit ain’t working now. i can’t believe people still enjoy this sort of thing.

what a load of crap. no offese though. i’m glad its moving someone. nice ALA article BTW

You’re right about the shivers (and spine tingling Alan). It was this song alone that made me want to watch Miami Vice. Too bad the only time it was played was during the beginning. :P

Would you know who remixed this? Did a hip-hop producer spice up the arrangement, or was it Linkin Park who did the tweaking?

Art is good. Not always because we like it (though I do like this, I must say), but because it exposes the heart of someone – good or bad, beautiful or ugly.

Cheers to art. Its a powerful influence to good or naught, but cheers to it being a human medium.

It is my favorite too, just after POD’s “Youth of a Nation”.

I don’t normally like Linkin Park or Jay Z, but I have to admit that was a good song. I am a sucker when it comes to two genres melting into one. Way to come together for the good of all music lovers.

Yeh, all comments taken onboard but where is the funky, soul tapping soundtrack for MV? Linkin Park and Jay-Z - brilliant collab!. Jay-Z solo……. too weak. I want to feel the spine tingles from the MV theme. Anyone who can tell me where it is?

This is the only song of Linkin Park that I like and I can replay it.
