"Can Ya… Help Me?"
Alex has started saying full sentences! We get the funniest ones. “Can ya… help me?” is pretty common. It’s said as two distinct thoughts, with a half second pause in between. He does this a lot. Others are:
- Rain rain… go away
- I want… some too
- Why’d you… do that?
- Read me… some books?
- Some juice… daddy please
It’s great to see, as it feels like just a few weeks ago he was saying only one or two words. And now he’s stringing them together in two to three word groups. It’s quite amazing really.
And cute, of course ;-)

My favorites of Jake’s are his answer to questions. “Jake…where’s your cup (or whatever else is MIA)?” (At the top of his lungs, running past at 90 miles an hour), “I HAVE NOOOOOOO….CWOO (Clue)” Or his standard answer to anything else. “Nuffin (nothing)” So adorable, it reprieves him of his solitary confinement from the previous tantrum. :)

So now we’re waiting for Alex to say “One more BEER, daddy” or more elegant and famous: “Martini shaken, not stirred”. Anyway congratulation. I remember my son didn’t talk until 4 ! Now he’s talking too much…
