Jessie Langlois

Category: From My LifeJeremy Wright @ 9:33 am

So I had a dream about an old high school classmate last night. Nice girl. We rode the “bus” together. I put bus in quotes because it was a minivan with just the two of us. I don’t really remember much about her at all, except that she had dark hair and freckles, but the dream woke me up and I decided to try and find her.

Classmates.com found her, but she hadn’t signed up yet. Myspace, nothing. All the other social sites, nothing. Google, nothing. Variations on her name, nothing.

So I figured I’d future-bomb Google so that if she ever searched for herself she’d find this.

And, no, the dream wasn’t bad. In fact, it was standing in line at the DMV or something. Truly odd. But I figured I’d try and find her. Maybe she’ll be in touch sometime in the next ten years ;-)

This is interesting. On a number of occasions I’ve done web searches for people in my past that I’ve lost contact with, and people that I’m planning to work with in the future. It’s sort of a wake up call to me, to see maybe how unusual people like you and I are Jeremy. I don’t know quite what to make of it, but for better or worse our lives are much like open books on the web, while the norm is that there’s very little information about individuals to be found.

But then, of course, you take it to another level altogether, than the regular crowd of web personalities. Got your MySpace page yet?

“Got your MySpace page yet? ”

Yeah, but it’s a secret one. Nobody’s managed to find it yet, heh.

A little early for that, as I haven’t received an email yet!

Future-bomb – hehe, nice term, although I have a feeling you may scare your friend off if she finds you are into bombing things :)

Great idea though – I believe in synchronicity so if you are meant to find her or vice versa it will happen and using a blog to help things along is a good idea.
