A Break

Category: From My LifeJeremy Wright @ 12:04 pm

I’m taking tomorrow and Thursday off. These’ll actually be my first days off in over a month. I don’t actually remember the last real “day off” (defined as anything less than 3-4 hours of work) I had. It might have been since February, really. Sad. Pathetic. I need to find more balance.

So, I’m totally unplugging the next 2 days. No cell. No email. No IM. Well, probably some Xbox Live, but besides that NOTHING ;-)

I know the feeling. At the weekend, we needed to head south to visit the in-laws, and I had to buy a damn power inverter so I could keep the laptop working in the car.

So we’re blasting down the motorway, Linda’s driving, the kids are fighting in the back, and I’m sitting in the passenger seat typing away like Richard Clayderman.

    Work, eh?

    ;o))

Jealousy doesn’t even begin to describe it. Here I am, slaving away to finish grueling grad student papers while you relax! j/k

I hope you enjoy(ed) your break time. Everybody needs that precious rest – more regularly and frequently, I think, than we bloggers typically get it!

It takes a quality leader to not only understand the diligence of managing a business but also when to get some R&R and recharge.

    Have a relaxing weekend.
