Weight Loss Progress

Category: From My LifeJeremy Wright @ 2:03 pm

Well, between being sick and picking up FitDay (fantastic app, btw, thanks to Darren Barefoot for the tip), I’ve managed to drop 7 pounds in the last week or so. Most of that was due to being sick though, since I haven’t really settled into a diet or routine yet. Hard to, when you’re sick, heh.

Anyways, my plan at this point is to work out (primarily cardio) twice a week, to do volleyball once a week for 3 hours or so, to spend 10-15 minutes a day on our elliptical and to do about 100 situps a day. I’m also planning on bringing my consumed calories into the 1750/day range (FitDay rocks at these calculations), so that I am, on non-workout days, attaining a calorie deficit of about 1500 per day over where I was before. This should let me lose 1-3 pounds a week for the next couple of months, which’ll be nice.

So yeah, progress. But not enough structure yet. I was also looking at getting Dance Dance Revolution, but there isn’t a version of it yet (or a pad) for the 360, so I’ll have to wait a few months on that. Hearing from some friends that it’s a fantastic workout, and it’s so much fun you can do it for an hour a day and not even realize the workout you got until you step off the machine.

I lost 5 pounds 2 weeks ago when I had the flu. However, I’ve put that weight back on. Sickness weight loss is really the worst kind because it’s not permanent.

I lost 5 pounds the day after Thanksgiving.

Okay, you probably didn’t need to know that ;)
