A Personal Blog
Public Auction Cancelled
The public auction for the blog has been cancelled, because the private bids have reached a level where the public auction wasn’t necessary. We’ll be announcing what the blog is later today (about 1pm, EST), and we’ll be announcing the final price tomorrow (as today is the close of bidding).
In terms of who the winner is, we expect they’ll want about a week to sort things out on their end, to issue payment and to get contracts signed before they come out, and that’s something we’ve obviously encouraged them to do. Everyone involved in this deal wants to see it done right, as opposed to seeing it done fast.
All the best to the bidders throughout today!
Update: As a note, if you are interested in bidding, you can still email me. Obviously you won’t have a huge amount of time to do due diligence in advance of your bid, but we’ll be allowing a significant amount of time post-sale for due diligence as well.
