Since you&#039;re server is on SM, you really can&#039;t guarantee anything better than 99.99%. Add to that some regular cPanel updates, Apache recompiles and other patches/fixes that might need you to reboot the server or at least restart a service, you can only go so much with the percentage points.</description>

There are &lt;strong&gt;REALLY&lt;/strong&gt; big companies out there that cannot achieve 5 9&#039;s 24/7/365.

As Ian hits on, you need to be up when it matters most. The cost of achieving 5 9&#039;s is so high, that unless you have the budget of the US Defense Department, and an IT staff of thousands, you won&#039;t EVER achieve it.

And even then, you won&#039;t achieve it.

Because the you are sending data across the Internet. And, well, stuff happens on the Internet.
