Blog Marketing Arrives!
Crazy, crazy. My first copy of my first book arrived on Monday. I was at the local university when I got it and it was such an insane experience. I mean, I only know a handful of peopel who’ve written real books and I really look up to them.
It’s weird to think that I’ve written one now. Absolutely crazy. I mean, it’s been nearly a year since my agent first asked me about the idea, so you’d think it would have sunk in…
But it still hasn’t. It sits behind me and every once and a while I just turn around and look at it, unbelievingly.
John Mudd wrote the first review I’ve seen and it’s generally positive. He notes that a chunk of the advice isn’t new and is available elsewhere on the blogosphere for free… Which is true.
But, if people can find the info themselves, they probably don’t need the book.
Anyways, I’m still crazed-assed busy here, but it felt weird to HAVE the book, HAVE people reviewing it and NOT be blogging about it :|

Could you imagine how bad a book would be if it only gave information that wasn’t available anywhere else?

Jeremy: I am so proud of you. I went into Coles at the Georgian Mall to see if they had the book. They told me I could order it and it would be in before Christmas. I asked them why they didn’t have MY son’s book on the shelves. I gotta tell ya, from the smile on their faces, they KNEW they were looking at a proud Papa. Well Done to you and Shannon for a job well done. I know you couldn’t have done it without her support and love. You make a great team. Love you always…..Gotta stop tears will wreck a keyboard.
