A Personal Blog
AMA Presentation
Darren and I were speaking at the British Columbia Chapter of the American Marketing Association’s annual event.
Here’s the link to the slides.
Our presentation was done in tag-team format, which worked well. The audience was aware of blogs, the awareness of specific blog issues was fairly good (even for Marketing people). I figure half the audience was conversant in “blog speak” enough that they asked questions about things like internal blogging and so forth.
The seminar format was good because it was highly story based, including some stories which had the audience gasping, laughing and even agreeing.
Overall it was a great event, put on by fantastic people and in an awesome location (including my hotel room).
Oh, and they gave us free wine, which never hurts ;-)

By AMA I thought you meant the American Medical Association. Now there’s a group that I think sees the internet in a uinque way. Informed patients? Good and bad, no?
But I really wanted to comment that I’ve done some presentations (on another topic), and I agree partnered up with another is a fabulout way to work in front of an audience.
Thanks for posting the slideshow. I just started blogging for purely personal purposes, and what I could glean from your slides was helpful
Thanks for the chuckle, no matter how unintentioned on your part.
