Will Is Okay
Just a note that I went to visit my friend Will last night. He’s doing much better than this weekend. He said, and I quote, “rumours of my death were greatly exaggerated”.
Apparently his dad came to see him over the weekend and flipped out. He then flipped out to my dad. My dad flipped out to me. So I was getting a 2nd hand freak out from someone who hadn’t really talked to the doctors. Will WAS doing incredibly badly over the weekend. He could have died. But, he pulled through. They have him on intense pain meds (apparently, the equivalent to 50 doses of morphine an hour, or so his nurse said). He’s walking around and such, so he’s doing okay.
The cancer’s everywhere in his body still, but the doc’s are hoping the spike they saw will eventually lead to remission, since the treatment they’ve been giving him is normally so effective.
Time will tell. Thankfully it doesn’t look like I’ll have to say goodbye to him this week.
