Some Sentences Are Art
I’m preparing some courseware for Microsoft. Here is a sentence from one of the “instructions on how to prepare this document” types of notes. It’s art:
The goal of this description is to provide a clear description of the instructional purpose of the activity and how the activity will be facilitated by the instructor or completed by the student.

Sounds like Microsoft technical writers get paid by the word! And I sincerely hope the courseware itself is much more user-friendly.

Makes sense to me. You want to try reading some of the docs on the stuff I use, they’ll fry your brain right out…
