This is why I hate trackback spam. About once a week I have to go through and see which trackbacks to keep, and which ones to ditch. In less than a week I’ve received more than 6000 trackback spams.
When I have time I really need to upgrade to WP 1.5. The Blacklist’ll save me loads of trouble.

I know how you feel, my comment/spam rate was a LITTLE better though … 5 genuine comments and 105 spam comments.

Use the Spam Karma plugin, I think it’s 1.2 compatible. At least it was.

Trackback spam’s annoying. It seems people just do trackback spam now, eh? Not comment spam much?

I hardly see comment spam, but the plugins I have handle that fairly well. Trackback spam’s huge though (as you can see).

Ouch. I think the ratio on my blog is pretty bad too. Python Community Server, a blog server I run, escaped from the flood for a fair while, but now the spammers have figured out how to automatically post to its comment form, and now it’s running about 50:50 comments to spam.
