Testing Ads….
Just a note that I’ve been asked to do some testing on some Google Ads / Stats stuff by some friends who work on AdSense. If the performance goes up, they might stay.
Let me know if they’re too obtrusive though. I’m planning a redesign “soon”, and I’m happy to take them off until the new design.

Perfect placement. I had very good experiences with this.

I’ve never seen those type of AdSense ads before.

When I say those type, I am referring to the ones on the left menu.

Hmm… They’ve stopped showing up for me. Are they working for everyone else?

I have noticed that Google Ads on blogs very often shows ads for blogging stuff. And not so much ads what is actually discussed. That kinda sucks,

Here are my ‘tips’ on your placement:
- good placement with the ones under your post and above comments. That is a great position and should perform well.
- If you want to increase their performance I would change their color to the same color as your background to make them blend in a little more though – same with the border of the ads – and I’d make the links the same color as the rest of the links in your content.
- your ‘adlinks’ ads on your side bar – they are too low on the page for optimum performance. I guess its a matter of priroty – when you have a two column blog there are only so many things you can put up high on the page. If you want to incorporate ads into your design with the new design I’d recommend one of two things – either put your site navigation at the top of the blog so your side bar is freed up or go to a three column blog of some kind.
- with your Ad Links – I’d probably also look at ways of blending them a little more – perhaps at the bottom of your categories section you could put them in similar colors to the links there.
Just a few ideas – of course one has to also balance all this with other factors like ethics/transparency/site goals etc.
Good luck with it

I think i would prefer an ad free page, seems like the color of the ads and the color of your background doesn’t seems to match. Instead of putting up 4 ads, why not try a banner with 2? Or get rid of the borders?
