what you talk about here is a tool that i created and laid out back in 1997 called screen space which allows you to enter content into one location and then through tags have it populate different areas of a site or even different sites. I use it to this day on several intranets that i have created. Sometimes all of the content is carried on other sites and sometimes just pieces of it. The beauty is that you post once but get seen multiple times.
