I must preface this by saying two things. First, this is not a paid post. I want this to be clear, since it could easily sound like one. It’s not in the Sponsored Posts category. It’s not labelled as a sponsored post, it doesn’t have a big red border around it. This is just me bragging about a product that fills a need that I’ve been evangelizing for 6 months.

Second, I’ve not used this product yet. Ironic, then, that I’m about to be raving about it, but I’m raving more about the fact that they’re trying to fill the void than that the product perfectly matches.

I’ll be getting a demo of it once I’m back from Seattle / Vancouver (along with a cool other pieces of software).

Okay, so the company behind this is iUpload. I’ve never used their product. And the extent that I know this company is that I’m quickly becoming friends with their PR lady, Renee Blodgett. For some reason we seem to think in a very similar way, which is always refreshing. Too bad we live 4000 miles apart. Ah well. There’s always conferences.

Okay, so at DEMO (which I’m really sad I’m not at…) this week, iUpload is launching “Perspectives”.

Here’s the press release bit:

Today at DEMO@15, a leading industry conference for launching new and innovative technology products, iUpload, a content management and corporate blogging solution provider, launched Perspectives. iUpload Perspectives offers a unique business blogging application that allows users to create content in their blog and instantly reach multiple communities and sites.

Okay, so what does that mean? I don’t know yet, but it apparently gives you a more central way to communicate across multiple channels.

How?

“Participation on the Internet is turning into a nuisance and getting worse,” said Robin Hopper, CEO of iUpload. “People have numerous places they need to share information – their company’s website, emails, their CRM application, discussion forums, social networks, a corporate blog, their personal blog, etc. iUpload Perspectives lets people participate in ALL of these places from the friendly confines of their own blog.” (emphasis mine)

I don’t know how this’ll work. There is, however, a free trial available to anyone at their website.

I’ll be using this next week. In the meantime, I’d love to hear from anyone who’s used this.

To me, the fact that people often need to use a variety of software platforms and communications vehicles simultaneously isn’t very efficient or manageable. I’ve been asking and asking for companies to step into this space for nearly 6 months. I’m glad it’s finally here. This isn’t the only company trying to tackle this though. I should have more news on another before the end of the month.

Either way, I plan to examine this in detail once I’ve settled in from my west coast trip.
