A Personal Blog
Bloglines Sloooowwwww…..
Anyone else noticed that Bloglines is being very, very, very sloowwwww today?
It could be something as simple as server moves into the Ask Jeeves data center. But, wouldn’t it be nice to know? I’ve never had any problems with Bloglines, so this is kind of frustrating.
Update: All’s fine now. It was an ATT network thing. Apparently Bloglines wasn’t aware it was happening during the day, but it’s running blazing fast now. Thanks to Mark for the personal email.

I’ve had problems with Bloglines being slow off and on for a while, but today it seems fine.

I haven’t had any problems today, starting hitting it around 9am est.

No problems today Jeremy, except for that I had not checked it in a while and multiple feeds topped off at 200. Thanks for reminding me to check it out.

Weird. The rest of the web is blazing fast, but Bloglines is dead slow. Support emails have so far gone unanswered (which is normal with Bloglines, sadly).

Funny that spyware thing came up right after I posted. Hey Jeremy, check out the Image Check function on Search Engine Journal when trying to leave a comment.
It’s a WordPress hack and works fairly well at keeping spam bots (not spammers) off of the comments.
Atleast this way we don’t have to punish all of the linkers with no follow tags.
Cheers,
Loren

Weird. We’re not seeing any problems internally with the systems. And it seems to be responsive when I feed my addiction. If you can email me some additional information, that would help track things down. Is it slow in general, or only doing some things? Like, if you hit the My Feeds tab, does the left pane refresh instantly? But if you click on a subscription, does that take awhile? Things like that might help us.
Of course, it may be a network issue between your ISP and Bloglines. If that’s the case, there’s unfortunately nothing we can do.
Thanks.

Just in case you haven’t tried it already, you might want to try doing a tracert to bloglines.com and seeing if there’s a delay somewhere in between or just at the end.
