Nice lil laptop there! I'd offer to race you with mine, but I haven't done the RAM upgrade yet. I believe I have the only Fujitsu Siemens laptop in Canada, lovingly hand-made just for me by a master European craftsman geek. Seriously though... even the best things in life become sweeter with a bit of a break from consumption. Absence, heart fonder etc you know.

Burnout 3 rocks! My wife got it for me for Christmas, and it has become my new favorite xBox game, replacing Burnout 2.

Try really turning off the computer for a weekend. Really. Unplug it (or them, if you have several). Put the keyboard and mouse on a high shelf in your closet. Resist the temptation to reconnect everything "just for a minute."

Really. The world doesn't come crashing down. You get out more. Your e-mail piles up, but so what? I do it from time to time, sometimes (when going on vacation) for a week or more:

http://www.penmachine.com/journal/2004_09_01_news_archive.html#109466877118738293

http://www.penmachine.com/journal/2004_07_01_news_archive.html#108993091412597067

If you find you simply _can't_ do it, take some more drastic measures. Ship your computer to a friend or relative for a week, and tell them not to let you have it back. It's worth taking a break now and then.
