List of Businesses That Blog

InsideBlogging had Darren start this process this past week during his blogathon. He’s transferred the post to his main blog: A list of businesses that blog.

Here is the current list. Any business that has a blog qualifies. I’m thinking of starting a Wiki to keep track of these. For now though, here’s the list. Let me know if you know of others (please include links where possible):

Ensight on Par with Major Blogs

A little bit of ego stroking.

Thanks to a post by Nick Denton, I now know that Ensight is roughly on par with 3 of his major blog properties in terms of traffic: Kinja, Kotaku and Screenhead.

Are his properties more widely read, more influential and more often posted to than mine? Sure. But that’s the fun of blogging. You can be succesful without being Nick Denton.

Blog Business Summit Today

The Blog Business Summit is today.

I wish I could be there. Normally I could feel like I was there. Because normally at these conferences the event will setup an audio feed of the event. And someone will setup an IRC channel. And through that you get to listen to what’s happening, as well as participating with people who were there.

So, it’s the biggest blogging conference ever. Biggest speakers. Biggest sponsors. Biggest companies in attendance.

And, no audio feed.

Interview on G'Day World

The hilarious PodCasters at G’Day World recently interviewed me. It was loads of fun. Extremely funny as well (hard not to be with those 2).

Anyways, the interview is live. Get it while it’s hot, because they sometimes run out of bandwidth with new shows!

My First Pair of Jeans

Not that anyone really cares except for me, but I just bought my first pair of jeans in over a decade. Back when I was a teenager I hated jeans. I quickly progressed into khakis and cords (before they were cool, obviously). And I’ve basically stayed in khakis and dress pants ever since. Because I hated jeans. With a passion.

Uncomfortable, abrasive, unstylish.

But, over the last few months /years I’ve found some friends wearing jeans that I knew I’d wear if they were comfortable. Because, at least, they were stylish.

Well, today was “shopping day” before my trip down to California, and I picked up a couple of pair of jeans, along with loads of others tuff. So, apparently, my wife is slightly nervous about my fidelity once I’m gone.

Good times ;-)

Seriously though, it’s always fun to go out and spend 400-500$ on clothes. I nabbed 4 pairs of pants, 2 sweaters, 2 other shirts, 2 belts (to go with new jeans) and 2 pairs of shoes (to go with new jeans).

I think I’ll be bordering on metrosexual when I’m down there. Which, I hear, is wholly appropriate. When in Rome…
