My First Pair of Jeans

Category: GeneralJeremy Wright @ 6:17 pm

Not that anyone really cares except for me, but I just bought my first pair of jeans in over a decade. Back when I was a teenager I hated jeans. I quickly progressed into khakis and cords (before they were cool, obviously). And I’ve basically stayed in khakis and dress pants ever since. Because I hated jeans. With a passion.

Uncomfortable, abrasive, unstylish.

But, over the last few months /years I’ve found some friends wearing jeans that I knew I’d wear if they were comfortable. Because, at least, they were stylish.

Well, today was “shopping day” before my trip down to California, and I picked up a couple of pair of jeans, along with loads of others tuff. So, apparently, my wife is slightly nervous about my fidelity once I’m gone.

Good times ;-)

Seriously though, it’s always fun to go out and spend 400-500$ on clothes. I nabbed 4 pairs of pants, 2 sweaters, 2 other shirts, 2 belts (to go with new jeans) and 2 pairs of shoes (to go with new jeans).

I think I’ll be bordering on metrosexual when I’m down there. Which, I hear, is wholly appropriate. When in Rome…

If I’m not wearing jeans and a polo/button down its shorts and a tshirt. Oh well..

I’m just like you, I never wear jeans. I’m always in khaki’s. But I did buy a pair this summer just so I could have one. I probably wear them once every one or two months.

I’m a jeans man…although occasionally I mix it up – especially this time of year when its hot hot hot….

Someone…please….get a photo of the metrosexual blogger…for historical purposes of course ;)

How can you NOT wear jeans? I wear ‘em every day. The only exception is cargo pants or shorts. Then again, I only dress up for job interviews, funerals, and weddings ;)
