The Apprentice: The Verdict

Category: Business, ReviewsJeremy Wright @ 8:50 pm

Loved the boardroom. PM brings the marketing guy who failed and a “safe guy” who the PM thought would support him. In the end all 3 of them failed the team massively.

Overall, it was better than any episode in Season 2. Good job. I’ll keep watching. Last season I’d regularly skip portions of episodes for Joey. For Joey! That’s so sad. For both me and the show. But, things are looking up.

Personalities make all the difference, and I already know that I don’t like Danny (flighty, hippy, marketing guy with no clue about marketing, who has designated himself the Chief Morale Officer and got uppity when his boss confronted him about not actually doing his job). Several others get on my nerves. I like Verna (ex Microsoftie).

The Book Smarts team lost becaues of poor leadership and management. Sure, there was a bad apple or two, but you’ll always have that and you have to either fix the issue or go around it. Leaving it alone will result in exactly what happened with this task: a complete lack of ability to deliver.

Ultimately the PM was fired. Which is good. But firing the head of marketing would have been a good fire as well.

Danny reminds me of Raj. His main contribution is entertainment.

Exactly G – I didn’t want Danny fired because at least he has a personality. Would have hated to lose him on the first show. Maybe Trump’s comments will be a wake-up call for him.

Here is the next project proposal in the series of 50. Was talking to my intern last night and he mentioned how his entrepreneurship group was creating mini-businesses and that the teachers would be encouraged to invest in different groups,

My ranking of the candidates as far as it goes. It is mostly a first impression thing.

Just watched the Feb 3rd episode. Donald blew it with the decision to fire Danny. He left a rotten apple in the group. Immunity should not be a sacred thing when someone abuses it. The wrong message was sent.
