HalfLife 2 Out Today
Well, the second most anticipated game of the year (after Halo 2) is now out. Finally. What, 5 years of waiting? Crazy.
Anyways, it’s a really great game. I playtested about 5 hours of it a couple of months ago and was blown away. I probably won’t actually pick it up until the Spring, as I know Halo 2 will hold my interest until at least then. But, I will pick it up, if only for the new mods that will be released in the next 6 months :)

I’m just taking a small break from it. I think it was 5 years, going on 6.
I am kind of stuck at the moment, but I’m loving every last part. Can’t wait to play Half-Life: Source sometime (haven’t beaten HL).

It seems game makers new philosophy is to through gameplay out the window, and to give people brain cavities with eye candy…

Gameplay was not thrown out the window. They made an amazing physics engine with great graphics, yes, but what they didn’t do is throw gameplay out the window.
The game is amazing and very fun to play. You run around, shoot, solve some puzzles, and such. Could you explain what makes you think they rid the game of gameplay?
