Now that I’ve gotten some tech stuff out of the way, I’d like to say thanks to everyone for their support. It’s been a long weekend. Not hard, just long. New babies like to be fed at night, after all ;-)

Alexander Eden Wright is doing very well. He’s very different from his big brother, but he’s very cute, very happy, very healthy, very good at eating and very good at sleeping. At night he’s sleeping 3 x 5 hour stretches, which is very impressive for a 5 day old.

His big brother seems to like him enough, which was a huge concern. He likes to give him kisses, and hold Alex on his lap and give him hugs. We’re trying to still play with him lots so he knows that he’s loved too.

All in all it’s been a great experience. Shannon’s healing up nicely but we’re both still completely exhausted. We have two helpers here (my mom and a friend who’s going to be staying with us until Christmas). It means we don’t have very much quiet time, but it also means we don’t need to do very much work.

It’s a nice tradeoff, but I know it’ll be good to just be “us” after Christmas.

So, yeah, everything is going very well and I’ll try and post some pictures later this week :)
