Okay, maybe it’s not just Microsoft blogs. But I am now subscribed to 50 less Microsoft bloggers today than I was yesterday. Either they’re dead, they’re writing’s turned all personal or I just don’t find the value anymore.
Scoble really needs to kick some people in the head (like Dave Massy).
Maybe it’s because my role in life is changing (more on that later this week). Maybe it’s because it was just “Time” to clean out my feeds. Either way, I’m now down to an abysmal 181 feeds, from nearly 350 just yesterday.
I’m not sure if I should be happy or sad.
Anyone have any good new feeds I should check out?

I think part of it is the standard tech blog cycle: 1. wild enthusiasm, 2. post about all the cool stuff you know, 3. run out of stuff to talk about, 4. silence. Combine that with a big influx of Microsoft bloggers a few months ago, and we’ve hit the “soft patch” of blogging demographics

You had better not have removed my blog!

I think a lot of it may have been the fact that they “could” blog but it wasn’t a passion. Robert actually enjoys blogging and it shows. With the others it seemed like they were going through the motions. I too dropped many feeds – more than 50.

I stopped checking the MS blogs a while ago. Nothing new, especially from the IE team (I think all the CSS/PNG/JS/security requests killed their spirit or something). Looks like they’ve hit a plateau.
I have 2 RSS feeds (soon to be 3 or 4) but you probably know where they are anyway.

So, what qualifies for a “good” weblog in your opinion ? Haven’t read your posts, so I don’t really know.
I’ve been led to your site thanks to Scoble. So, your post makes me wonder
Cheers,

To find out what I consider to be good, just view my BlogLines feed list: http://www.bloglines.com/public/ensight

For a blog hosted at msdn.com, I’d assume it should relate somehow to Microsoft technologies/products and be updated regularly. MS employees can always host their own personal blogs elsewhere.
