I’m not sure if this is the first instance of a large tech news site launching blogs, but I’m certainly excited either way.
As I noted earlier, IT Observer wanted to hire some bloggers (we call them “columnists”).
The goal behind this was to have a lower-output, more “real voice” take on what is happening in various industries.
The blogs are now live!
Congrats to Nathan Wong on his first post entitled “Open Source Scope”. It’s a great look at some of the strengths and weaknesses of the model.
Note to IT Observer Columnists: Just a quick note to all the columnists for IT Observer, since I know y’all read Ensight: the content requirements have been lifted. You should get an email from ITO later today, but the goal is now simple “keep the column alive”. We’d like for you to write 5 columns a week, of a “reasonable” length. But, really, as long as you keep it alive, fantastic. Feel free to communicate any thoughts to Danny or to me.
ps: feeds for the blogs and so forth will be up soon. Congrats again Nathan!
