It’s often hard to find good resource sites, or at least sites that offer a consistently good view of the small subsection of the world they are commenting on. SitePoint is one of them, for example. Another newer one is a newsletter-style site called Webmasters Weekly.
Webmasters Weekly is run by a friend of mine, Chrispian Burks, and has been going for just over a month and a half, roughly the time he’s been an Ensight advertiser. Chrispian runs a whole network of great sites, including the incredibly popular lit.org.
I’m wandering.
Chrispian wanted me to talk about Webmasters Weekly, and since this is after all a Sponsored Post, I should probably talk about Webmasters Weekly
The reality is that I’d likely link to it regularly even if he hadn’t paid me to talk about it though, since each “issue” (1, 2, 3, 4 & 5) are very, very good.
The broad categories you’ll likely find in terms of content are: News, Blogging, Search Engines, Design, Advertising, “The Buzz” and a Tip of the Week. Each issue isn’t overly long, and the headings are designed to let you skip to what you’re looking for (guess what I skip to, heh).
Typically, Webmasters Weekly fills in any voids that my large-ish reading list has ignored, like this week’s link to the awful new ICANN decision which’ll allow people to steal domains more easily (ps: if you haven’t already, make sure you go to your domain registrar(s) and LOCK YOUR DOMAINS!!!).
Webmasters Weekly also linked to the new Marqui program to pay bloggers to blog, something I’d known about but hadn’t figured out how to apply for.
All in all I find it to be balanced, well sourced, good content and the kind of thing I’d read and talk about anyways. Thanks to Chrispian for providing a great resource, and I hope you check it out and leave your feedback on the site here or on your own blogs. Raising awareness is the name of the game today!
Update: No idea why, but comments were closed. They are now open.

I love the Webmaster’s Weekly. Been subscribed since the beginning, and each issue has been of quality.
If you’re looking for some varied webmaster round-up, I definitely suggest you subscribe to it. Each issue has dozens of links on all kinds of different topics.
