Finally, finally, finally managed to preorder Halo 2 today. I know, I know: what’s the point in pre-ordering 24 hours before release? The point, my friends, isn’t to get the Limited Edition like oh so many millions of uber cool super elite bastards (heh). No, the point is because if I couldn’t convince my wife 24 hours before release, when the pressure was soooo intense, there’s no way I’d convince her until Christmas (something I’d effectively relegated myself to anyways).
So, it was a long day at the mall. Lots of pleading looks. Lots of little jokes. Lots of … Well, lots of just about everything. All half in jest, but all totally in hopes that she’d say “yes”. There was no reason for her to, since we’re strapped financially, but I figured I’d ask anyways.
Until, the moment of truth.
I’d found the solution. Typically I always do when it comes to life and death situations, and this time I came through again.
I’m selling the iPod I got for free. It wasn’t an easy decision, but I KNOW that I’ll love Halo more than my MP3 player, and I can always buy a cheaper one with the money that’s left over from the sale.
So, Halo 2 will be bought tomorrow night.
A challenge to all you wannabes in my next post.

Is there any word on whether Halo 2 will be released for the PC?

iPod. Halo 2. iPod. Halo 2.
Damn that’s a tough choice. I’d probably go with Halo 2 as well though since I have MP3 players everywhere I go
