Google Nabs Keyhole
Haha, more Google news. From Oliver Thylmann:
Me and my collegues played with it some time ago and loved it. Now it’s Google’s ;): Google Acquires Keyhole Corp
Keyhole is part of a new generation of apps that let users fly around in a virtual type of search and mapping. I’d seen a demo of similar software several years ago and it was very, very nice. Now they just need to integrate some more census / zoning info into Keyhole. There’s so much that could be done with an app like this. Apartment listing integration, finding businesses, all kinds of things.
Great acquisition, and a solid move on Google’s behalf in reducing the price:
Google also announced, effective immediately, a price reduction for Keyhole 2 LT from $69.95 to $29.95.
Free 7 day trial is also available at Keyhole.com.
