The Apprentice 2 – Week 2
Okay. 2 day task (good thing). Fairly creative (create your own icecream flavour).
…
But then it got down to street selling again. It didn’t NEED to get down to street selling, but it did. Why? Because these two teams decided it was “more efficient” than working with restaurants.
The men went to Times Square. The women followed. The men dressed niely. The women didn’t want to (don’t want to “sell our bodies”). The men were organized. The women were not. The men effectively worked as a team (generally). The women were all over the place.
The women got their pants covered asses handed to them.
So who got booted off? Well this season the PM from the previous week is exempt. So, being a true leader, the exempt PM decides to waive his exemption. No real reason. He just does.
He’s the only guy in a girl’s team. This doesn’t fly very well with the girls. Or Trump. He gets fired.
Despite the other people in the boardroom being complete idjuts and all (basically) deserving to get fired, he got fired because:
You made a life altering mistake. If you were at the helm of one of my companies you would kill the company.
Fair enough Donald. Fair enough. So the strongest player on the team is now out. Can you say Funky Dynamic?Yeah, me too.

Can you say “employment at will”? I would have defended the decision by saying I want my “employment” or continued existance to be at will not secured by tenure or by some artificial safe period based upon past performance. How is that a life altering mistake? Some Donald believes to his use all possible opportunities (such as protection or subsidies by the government) to gain the advntage. Playing fair (and probably rightly so in cutthroat real estate) is not in the Donald’s vocabulary.

Would it have been better if he’d actually stuck up for himself? Probably. Would it have been better if it was a group of guys? Almost definitely. Would it have been better later in the game where people are a little resentful of folk with “immunity”? Hell yeah.
It was a stupid move on this team, at this time and without a plan. He deserved to get fired… But Ivana and Stacie deserved to get fired a hell of a lot more.
(oops, I need to shut up, eh?)

Kill his company eh. I guess company execs get immunity from shareholders these days

The women sure are a bunch of back-stabbers.
Raj and Kelly (Mosaic PM) were great.
Mr. No-Breakfast-Tough-Shxt sure was an ass.
Weren’t the team breaking laws by not obtaining vendors (and other?) permits and not collecting sales tax?

Who needs to worry about laws when you’ve got The Donald on your back?
