Scoble Gets Roped, Loses ALL Credibility
Scoble gets roped into a hoax, and therefore loses all credibility.
Not.
When did anyone start taking themselves, or anyone else, so seriously that something like this reflects on our character? I know, I know, everything you do affects how people view you and you only get one chance at a first impression… But, really, to me Scoble saying publicly that Rich has lost credibility in my mind reflects worse on Scoble than believing in a funny hoax.
He could have simply updated his old post with “this was a hoax, but it’s still VERY funny… Sorry if anyone (like me) took this seriously” and called it a day.
Ah well, everyone makes mistakes and, no, Scoble falling for a hoax and then publicly calling Rich out doesn’t make me think any worse of either of them.
I love reading what both Rich and Scoble have to say, end of story.
Btw, here is Rich’s blog in case you missed it.

I agree… Much more insight into Scoble’s character than Rich. Especially since Scoble’s the 500 lb gorilla here – he really shouldn’t have reacted so defensively.
