A Personal Blog
Not the First Blog to be Sold
Apparently I’m not the first blog owner to sell.
Jim Romanesko apparently sold his “way back when” for an unpublished amount of money, and he became a paid writer at PointerOnline.
I’d hate to split hairs. It sounds like Jim was brought on staff and the blog came with him, but ultimately I’m quite happy to concede I’m not the first. It takes some of the pressure off. The reporters have changed my byline or whatever from “probably the first” to “a pioneer”. Whatever, I’m just happy blogging’s going to get some attention.

There was an article in either Wired ot Business 2.0 a few months back about a gy starting a blogging commercial empire who bought out a few blogs.
And hasn’t Gizmo (or whatever that tech gadget blog is called) changed hands a few times so that it’s now nothing but an advertising venue for tech companies?
