Personally, I’m not going to buy Doom 3. I’m not a Doom fan, so there’s no reason to buy it for the single player and, let’s be realistic: Half Life 2 and Halo 2 will have better Multiplayer. So I’m waiting. Overall I’m glad I’m not a Doom fan, though, because the game has some glaring issues that would piss me off in about 5 minutes (just like CSI: New York).
The biggest of these is that you are either carrying a flashlight or a gun. Not both. And, no, there is no duct tape in a research facility filled with ducts.
Apparently someone (besides every single reviewer) found this annoying enough to make a mod.
Yes, for all you Doom 3 guys out there who want to enjoy the dark but also don’t want to fumble around for your bigass shotgun that you had to stick down one leg of your pants so you could see (albeit while hobbling a bit)…
