Spiderman 2 Gets 4 Stars?!
Wow, haven’t seen this kind of thing in ages.
Here’s why it got the high rating:
Now this is what a superhero movie should be. “Spider-Man 2″ believes in its story in the same way serious comic readers believe, when the adventures on the page express their own dreams and wishes. It’s not camp and it’s not nostalgia, it’s not wall-to-wall special effects and it’s not pickled in angst. It’s simply and poignantly a realization that being Spider-Man is a burden that Peter Parker is not entirely willing to bear.
Gah @ not being able to see it on my birthday… I’m probably going to need to wait until Friday : (

Just saw it tonight. Went to the midnight showing. Paid $8.
The movie was decent, but I felt it was too slow at times. There’s a good amount of character developemtn in the movie, but it drags on into uncomfortably long scenes. Spiderman, which has always in my mind been about action, was too filled with drama to make me enjoy this movie 100%.
And now the spoilers…
Just kidding Jer ;)

Spidey! Spidey! Spidey!
The first movie was great, I just wanna see this one too. I know it’ll be great, though Toby McGuire almost lost the role of Spidey in this movie.
