I had originally bounced this idea around here and here and the response was fantastic. Many comments, dozens more emails and even a few phone calls saying this was something we needed, with only one person really saying “what’s the point?”.

Early on in my thinking, I realised that I had to do something representative. It needed to be ‘from’ the blogosphere. And, really, I just don’t have a big enough ego to believe I can speak for the entire blogosphere.

So, in true Open Source Business / Open Source Ideas fashion I have opened this right up.

I have launched The Bloggist Magazine’s Pre-Project Website. This is essentially a large forum for anyone (yes, anyone) to comment or post new articles. To really get the community involved in the high-level (and low-level) planning of a magazine which is representative of bloggers, blogging and our little corner of the web.

In case this isn’t obvious yet I need your ideas and input on this!!!

So head on over to The Bloggist’s Site and start commenting and posting articles.

Don’t be shy, there is no right or wrong way to get this thing moving, but we do need to get it moving. I’ll be making a wider announcement to the “movers and shakers” I know tomorrow, but I wanted to let my readers know today so they didn’t hear it from someone else first.

All feedback, criticism and ideas welcome. Let’s do this thing!
