I Want a Job
… Anywhere that doesn’t get 3 feet of snow in May… Especially if it’s immediately following a day where it’s 23C (roughly 75F?).
To give you an idea, everyone had to borrow my shovel at work to dig their cars out of the parking lot (3 feet of packing snow… not easy to get out of… if you don’t know what packing snow is, you’re obviously not Canadian ;-)).
Drive home wasn’t bad, the idiots are apparently scared of being idiots when there’s snow on the ground. They still refuse to yield to stop signs, use their blinkers or understand that sometimes people merge for a reason and not just to piss them off…
… But that’s all normal.
Thankfully today is essentially over and I can ramp up for tomorrow which has me in 2 big meetings. One for the Hurricane Project, and another where we present our progress on management apps and Patch Management.
I’ve been particularly pleased with Patch Management because it’s something which was essentially non-existant when I got here. 3 months hasn’t brought about huge massive change but it’s brought about a solid patching policy and procedure for desktops.
Servers are next.
Then I need to tackle security.
Fun ;-)
