Open Source Not the Future
I refuse to do anything more than link to this, so that I can at least appear to not be grinning.
The Technology Cynic has written a piece called Why Open Source Isn’t the Future (At Least Not Yet).
Here’s an extract:
However, there are some serious issues with open source that a technology executive must deal with. First, the GPL (General Public License – the software license of open source) makes it very clear that any modifications to the software must be placed back into the open source community.
