Join Me in Lake Placid?

I’m planning a trip to Lake Placid in February. Skiing / Snowboarding, accomodation and a lot of good laughs.

I figured it’d be fun to make this a “bloggers invite” event.

I don’t have to make a deposit for a few weeks. Basically I can hold off until January 1st. If you’re interested, or want to pass the word along feel free.

Basically it’s:

- Meet in Placid (if you’re from Toronto or along my route I can pick you up) - 5 nights, 4 days - includes accomodation, lift passes and may include breakfast - cost is 300USD

So, who’s up for a great time with loads of goofy pictures?

If someone wants to come, but can’t afford to… Well, I need a load of ASP work done, so I can cover your trip in return for about 300$ worth of work.

Yeah, why don’t we pass the word along and see what we can come up with? It’d be cool to have a dozen bloggers doing crazy things on the slopes!

Just About There

We are down to the final 2500$. 18 months ago we owed nearly 20K on our various credit cards. With the payment for a couple of contracts this month we are now down to 2500$ on the last credit card. It will feel so good to have these paid off.

I still use my PayPal Debit Card, which is a MasterCard, for CC-type stuff. Beyond that, though, I think I’m done with “plastic” for a while. Too dangerous.

After this is paid off, of course, we’ll still want to pay off the car. Then we’ll be “debt free” and can start saving for a house. Joy, eh?

Theatre Collapse

We go here regularly. Would probably have been going tomorrow night. Great theatre.

15 people still trapped.

Not For Me!

One of those fantastic EBay auctions. Please, please don’t get me this for Christmas!

“I’ll be your pretend girlfriend for 6 weeks!”

Helping Folk Out

How many people actually use those “Donate” things? I’ve found that in the last few weeks I’ve probably sent 3-4 people a 5$ PayPal donation, just because they’re going through a hard time.

I don’t have much to give, and I know 5$ doesn’t go very far… At all… But it’s something. Somebody out there cares, and I know that if I was going through a hard spot I’d want others to show me the same thing (even an email, not necessarily cash).

So, do others donate? Do you only donate when someone’s in need, do you donate to blogs you love…?
