Blog Wiki

The Blog Wiki is small and has barely anything on it.

Don’t know what a Wiki is? It’s a collaborative effort to provide an “encyclopedia” on a given subject, in this case: blogs and blogging.

The Meatrix!

Fantastic (and educational!) spoof on the Matrix: The Meatrix!

While I’m not really one for these types of “issue movies”, the points made are valid enough to make me wonder what I should do… Is it possible to buy smaller producing meat in the big city affordably?

I’ll be clicking the red pill to find out ;-)

Blogrolling Down?

Okay, no idea what just happened, but my entire blogroll just died. Someone named Laura became my only entry. Really no idea what just happened. I’ve removed Blogrolling for now…

Submitted the issue to BR. Hopefully it’s resolved. I liked my reading list :|

UPDATE: It’s happening elsewhere, so I think this is a general BlogRolling issue and not just me (ie: someone had hacked into my BR account or something).

Basically anyone using Blogrolling has this happening. Like this poor guy.

Bloggers Complain FAR TOO MUCH!

Irony of ironies, right? I’m writing a post about bloggers complaining which is, in effect, me complaining. Ah well, today is Bitch Day so I’m allowed.

Okay, look around:

jpcarter complains about the elitism of the top bloggers – I’ve got no idea what his point is. On the one hand obviously there’s a bit of ideology, but on the other he’s just plain complaining. I mean, I’ve never heard of most of these bloggers. But then, I lead a sheltered life.

I could pick out hundreds of examples, from my own blog even, of complaining.

I guess my question to myself is WHY? I mean sure as a blogger I’m a writer and a writer has a right to his voice and sometimes your voice is raw and unedited. Still, though, a writer in any other setting would have a responsibility to being even-handed over the long term. Yet some bloggers make their entire voice complaining.

Okay, it works for them, so who am I to complain, right? I guess I’m just asking myself why I do so much complaining in my blog and in real life.

Agh, not much of a bitch is it? I’ll have to practice more as I go throughout the day.

Lazy Monday Linkdump

Well, I’m trying to concentrate on Bitch Day, but didn’t want to forget some of the more interesting things that have happened this weekend in the blogosphere.

Cisco’s Return – relevant since we’re putting in a new phone system. Irrelevant since we’ve already chosen hardware. Maybe next time around.

Businesses Started on Campus – amazing to think some of these were campus startups… Not the list you’d expect.

Dunstan on Spam – very interesting solutions…

Mark Pilgrim on Spam – mark gives us some history on the spam issue…

Posting from Longhorn – Ryan posts his thoughts on Longhorn FROM Longhorn!

New Windows Worm Coming? – Bowulf talks about the security vulnerability as well as the process that’s occuring even as we speak.
