Illegal Media? Destroyed PCs

Evidently some Senators don’t quite understand the “Illegal Search & Seizure” and “Innocent until Proven Guilty” clauses of the U.S. Constitution. According to CNN, Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Ut) is endorsing the idea of a 3-strike-you’re-out rule when it comes to MP3′s and other illegal files. He is advocating the development of software that will physically destroy part or some of a repeat-violator’s PC. Evidently, he feels that it isn’t unconstitutional to “convict and execute punishment” without a fair trial or to unconstitutionally monitor user activity (though I imagine with the cooperation of ISP’s this might not be such a huge issue).

And Now for Something totally different…

Okay. Not Tech or Biz. But pure frustration. I went to the Orioles game tonight with friends. As has been the case with every outdoor “thing” I have done in the past 2 months…it was rained out. Pure frustration. At least I got to enjoy Dollar Hot Dog night… :\

And I am going to the game tomorrow night too. Guess what? They’re calling for a 70% chance of rain. : (
